Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Rock Identifier mobile app (the "App") provided by Mobixoft LLC. By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Rock Identifier does — and its limits

Rock Identifier uses AI to suggest what a rock, mineral, crystal, gem, or fossil might be, along with estimated properties and a rough value range. Identifications and value estimates are informational and probabilistic — they are automated best-guesses from a photo, not a professional appraisal, laboratory analysis, or geological certification.

Do not rely on the App for decisions where accuracy matters — including purchases, sales, insurance, safety, or handling of potentially hazardous materials. For anything important, consult a qualified gemologist, geologist, or appraiser. Any wellness, birthstone, or "metaphysical" content is presented as cultural folklore, not scientific or medical advice.

2. Subscriptions & billing

Rock Identifier offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock full features. Pricing is shown in the App and may vary by region.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Purchases are governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

3. User content & community

If you share a scan to the community, you grant Mobixoft LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the App. You represent that you have the right to share it and that it is not unlawful, infringing, or offensive. We may remove content at our discretion. You can request removal of content you posted by contacting us.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to disrupt the App or its backend.
Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you have no right to share.
Do not use the App to break any law, including trespassing or collecting specimens where prohibited.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its content, and branding are owned by Mobixoft LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or content except as needed to use the App.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IDENTIFICATIONS OR VALUE ESTIMATES ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOBIXOFT LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON IDENTIFICATIONS OR VALUE ESTIMATES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Mobixoft LLC's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
